Present Passive Continuous

         Present Passive Continuous expresses a continuous action in the present where the subject of the sentence is receiving the action. This tense follows all of the rules of the tenses it is part of; so first use the to be verb in the present to make it present, then add the to be verb in the gerundive (-ing) form to make it continuous, then put the verb in the past participle.

1) I don't like that job because I feel like I am being used like a human piece of furniture.

2) Oh look in there, James is being questioned by the police, I shouldn't interupt.

3) Your car should be ready any minute now because right now it is being given the finishing touches.

4) Kyle is being given a massage by Paola right now.

5) At the present time the Christians are not being persecuted by the Romans.

6) I realize that I am being used by my bosses at work.   

7) Even though the terrorists are being beaten in the war, they keep fighting.

8) I know my relationship with that crazy girl is not good because I am being lied to.

9) At this time, the music is being played at the bar by my friend James.

10) Even though Mary is being abused by her husband she stays with him.
