1505 - 6 1 Muhammad ibn Rukn ad Din (Muhammad Arcone to Portuguese, Kilwan noble, not of royal lineage) installed by Francisco de Almeida as Portuguese vassal sultan of Kilwa. But remembering importance of constitutional propriety, Muhammad immediately appointed royal prince Muntari, ^ late alFudail, as his successor. He was assassinated after a year. |
